Biography
Afterwise are an Athens-based instrumental band operating within the realms of post-rock and post-metal, blending atmospheric soundscapes with dynamic, emotionally driven compositions. Formed around 2015 under the name Chew Gravel, the band later evolved into Afterwise, leaving vocals behind to fully embrace an instrumental direction, shaping a more mature and cinematic sound. They have performed in key venues across Athens’ underground scene, often sharing the stage with like-minded acts, delivering live performances that emphasize intensity, build-up, and immersive atmosphere. On April 7, 2026, they released their debut single, “SilverFeedsSilence.” Their first full-length album, “Disintegration,” recorded at Blackbox Studio, is set for release in the summer of 2026.
